Christian Bankruptcy Lawyer
The thought of Bankruptcy is scary. After all, we've all been told by numerous sources that Bankruptcy is "bad". So what kind of a person does this work for a living? After all, aren't all lawyers also bad?
A lot of lawyers went to law school to increase their earning potential. Honestly, if that had been my goal, I would have become a personal injury attorney, not a bankruptcy lawyer. After all, insurance companies pay a lot more than people who need to file bankruptcy. While, I have to make a living to keep my doors open, honestly, I went to law school to help people.
To do this work, I think a person needs a strong moral/ ethical compass. I have to help people understand the law and work with it to the best possible result. I think if you play by the rules, you never have to look back.
Bankruptcy is a process that requires you to organize your affairs for a Court of law to determine if those debts should be forgiven. I think it is wise in the process for people to take inventory of the circumstances, choices and decisions that got them there. Many circumstances are outside of our control. Many of the decisions made, in hindsight, were not wise but seemed 'safe' at the time. In the twenty plus years I have done this, a great majority of the people who come to see me are emotionally upset about the circumstances they find themselves in. I think this is a normal response to trouble. Because of my Christian beliefs, I am a person who believes that if we sincerely ask God for forgiveness, He loves us back. He discharges our debts too.
